Academic All-American Award

Students who compete on the Speech & Debate Team can receive a very prestigious award from the National Speech & Debate Association known as the Academic All-American Award. This award acknowledges those students who are both excellent at competition and at school. To be eligible for this award, students must meet the following conditions:
  • Must have earned at least 750 NSDA points.
  • Must have completed at least 5 semesters of High School
  • Must have demonstrated outstanding character and leadership by receiving a character reference from their Head Coach
  • Must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
