Our Mission
💡
To empower ethical, curious, and driven students to pursue excellence in their personal, academic, and competitive journeys...while uplifting others along the way.
Four Pillars
We're not just about winning rounds. We're about becoming exceptional people. Every Jay Debater is guided by four core values.
Academic Achievement

We believe success begins in the classroom. Debaters apply what they learn in school (history, English, science) to real-world issues in competition. Academic excellence isn’t just encouraged, it’s expected.
Adequate Preparation
Great performances aren’t luck...they’re earned. Jay Debaters are taught to plan, research, and rehearse until they’re proud of what they present. Because real success comes from real work.
Competitive Team Spirit
We don’t compete against each other...we rise with each other. Jay Debaters cheer the loudest, help the most, and strive to be their best. Because we know: excellence is a shared pursuit.
Citizenship
Respect matters. Our students treat judges, opponents, teammates, and themselves with professionalism and kindness...even when they disagree. We grow by listening, learning, and leading with integrity.
Oh the Places Our Alumni Go
Jay Debate is a launchpad. Our alumni have gone on to top-tier universities like...

But even more importantly, they leave high school with the tools to lead, speak, advocate, and succeed...no matter where life takes them.
An Experience Like No Other
From Friday night tournaments to national competitions, speech and debate is a journey — and it’s fun. You’ll travel with friends, stay in hotels, explore new cities, and perform in front of packed rooms. You’ll bond over prep nights, car rides, karaoke, and post-round pep talks.
Our students often say debate is the best part of their high school experience.

“There is no other activity that makes you smarter, stronger, more confident — and more connected to the people around you.”
